How do I create an account?

Download LOKAL from the App Store and sign up with your phone number. You'll receive a verification code via SMS to get started.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings in the app and tap “Delete Account.” Your profile will be hidden immediately, and all data will be permanently deleted after 30 days. You can reactivate within that window by logging back in.

How do I report a user or content?

Tap the three-dot menu on any profile, post, or message and select “Report.” Our team reviews all reports and takes action according to our community guidelines.

How do I block someone?

Visit the user's profile and tap the three-dot menu, then select “Block.” Blocked users cannot see your profile, posts, or send you messages.

Why can't I see any activities near me?

Make sure location permissions are enabled for LOKAL in your device settings. Activities are shown based on your location, so you need to grant access for the discovery feature to work.

How do I change my profile photo?

Go to your profile, tap “Edit Profile,” and tap your photo to take a new one or choose from your library. Profile photos are verified to ensure they show a real person.

How do notifications work?

LOKAL sends push notifications for messages, activity updates, and social interactions. You can manage notification permissions in your device settings at any time.
